Thank you...

These are Mikayla's newest words. She says them all the time. Today she was playing with the dogs and she very happily received a few licks on the face from Mandee. When we came inside I went to give her a kiss and had to stop myself because she stunk like dog breath. So I told her,

"We need to clean your face because you stink like doggy!"

"Thank you!"

I love it! I am always looking forward to the next funny thing she does/says!

Behind and not catching up!

Hey everyone...I know you've probably given up on me! And I bring no note of encouragement! I am so behind on editing pictures from my business that I can't seem to find time to get some up on this blog............but I have over a million pictures I want to put up on this blog...so maybe in a year or so :) check back and I might have an update! I was in Seattle this weekend and I got some awesome shots of the space needle. Just one of the many that will be up here eventually!

I guess life will go on even if I don't get some pics up here any time soon, right?

The best six years of our lives!!!!!!!!

Wes and I celebreated our 6th anniversary today. We had a wonderful day with just the two of us (plus Mikayla - inbetween babysitters). We started out by going up to Idaho Falls to visit the place where our marriage began. We had an amazing lunch at The Olive Garden. Then we headed to my cousin's son's birthday party and played in the water for a little while. To end the evening we went to Mystique for dinner and the showing of Aladdin. What a wonderful day! I'm so glad we are going to have billions more together. Wes is my best friend, a great father, and the most amazing husband anyone could ask for! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud Parents

For anyone who is around us fairly often you know of our struggles to get our baby girl mobile! She is now one year old, and as of a week ago had no interest in crawling. She wouldn't bend her knees, she wouldn't hold herself up in crawling position, she didn't care to reach a toy that was out of her VERY close grasp. Last week she decided that plan just wasn't working anymore! She wanted a toy and she was going to get it. So she went Left Right Left and got her toy and fell back to her belly. Wes and I were both pretty excited thinking she was going to crawl any day. That was last Thursday. All weekend she wouldn't do it again. And then while Mikayla and I were in UT she would move just one leg and then fall to her belly. Yesterday (the day before her first birthday) she wanted my camera strap really bad so I was going to make her crawl for it. I put her in crawling position and put the string right out in front of her and slowly moved it away so she was forced to move forward to get it. She crawled for about two feet before she fell to the floor in frustration. So I gave her the camera to play with for a minute and then we did it again. This time she went for about three feet. I went to bed so happy.
Our physical therapist didn't have the highest of hopes for her to crawl before her birthday so I just KNEW there was NO WAY she was going to crawl before her first birthday! But she made me proud. Just a couple hours before the big day she proved me wrong. I love my little girl so much and all the tricks she has up her little sleeve! That was the best birthday present ever!

Coming later...birthday pictures! We had a blast tonight. Thank you everyone for coming and for all the gifts! She made out really well. We have wonderful family and friends! We love you all! And we were thinking of those who weren't able to make it! You were in our hearts! We love you all!

Happy Birthday

Today is Mikayla's first birthday. We have a lot of fun plans for tonight...an update will come after the party!

Bike ride

Mel and I took the girls out for a bike ride the other day...what an adventure! They were great at the beginning, they even held hands for a little while. Then Taya wanted to play with Mikayla's face. Mikayla started screaming so Taya started screaming and before you know it we had two babies screamin' and two mommies laughin' all the way home! :)

Our new baby!!!

Yes, this is our new baby! Wes traded the old one (a motorcycle) for this new sports bike. It is the new baby in our lives. His old one was black, which he settled for because it was a good price, but once he saw this cherry red bike he had to have it, at whatever cost. His dream color and a bike just like Mike's...what more could a guy ask for?



Wes also snatched a picture of this beautiful rainbow!

Little Sleeper

Wow, it feels like it's been a long time! I'm back! Sorry for those who have looked into this and have seen nothing! :)

As you can tell from previous posts I LOVE pictures of Mikayla falling asleep while/after eating! So here are some more pictures of my little doll. She is so good! I was in the shower while she was eating and when I got out it was really quiet. She is not to the stage yet where she gets quiet when she is doing something wrong, so I assumed she was sleeping. This is what I walked out to find!

More crazy hair

I love Mikayla's hair. It is getting so long and so fun to do things with it (although i don't very often). As you can see we have some pigtails and some ponytails!

First Kiss

Yesterday we walked into Sunday School, talked to a few people, and then got ready for the lesson. Then a little family sat in front of us. They have a little boy that is about six months older than Mikayla. He was quite the friendly little guy! He started out the meeting by blowing kisses to her. He is a trained little man! Then he was sharing his animals and his treats. This continued on throughout the whole meeting. At the end of the meeting he was getting ready to head to his next class and he stood up. So I stood Mikayla up in front of him and told her to tell him good bye. They waved at each other. And then Corgan walked up to her...and gave her a nice big juicy one on her rosy red lips!

Quite a memorable day for mom and dad...and especially for the new little love birds!

Temple Trip

I went to the Temple a couple weeks ago for the stake Sisters in white trip. I just wanted to play around with my camera and try some settings and stuff. Some of these are the pics I came up with...

This was a little while ago. It was the first time Mikayla has been out on the grass this spring. She didn't know what do to when I put her on her stomach. I don't think she liked it too well. But when she was sitting she loved to play with the grass in between her little fingers. And she was even kind enough to share the grass with me :)

Visits with the cousins

About a month ago we had a visit from some of Mikayla's cousins. They live down in Utah so we don't get to see them very often. Every trip they take is a special event...for us anyways. We love to see them and they love their newest little cousin. The youngest, Curtis, doesn't really know us because he was born down in UT. This trip was totally different. He was full of smiles and hugs for Mikayla and for me.

Look at the chunkier set of fingers...that's Curtis. He was a little chunk when he was 10 months (Mikayla's age) and this is what she will continue to look like for a long time! :) I love every single one of her little rolls!

WAYYYYY behind!

I have been told that I need to update my blog! :)

I know I am way behind. I looked through all the pictures that I want to put up here and it's going to take me forever! So in the next couple of days check back often! I have about six different things I want to post...for now, that is. I might find more :)


About two months ago we went to Boise to get Wes some eye fixin! He had lasik surgery done on both eyes and now he sees better than he has in years. I told him he was crazy, but now I'm just pure jealous. When we get some more $ I think I might have to invest in this little procedure! We stayed in a really nice hotel and Mikayla got to go swimming...she was not a fan of the cold water, as you can see from all of her beautiful smiles! :)
